Developed in Sweden, Buddy is available in two sizes and six different colour ways, and feel just as at home in the grand hotel lobby as in the austerely furnished creative studio.
With its rounded aluminum bowl and ash wood tripod, Buddy has a distinct and inviting appearance giving it a clear presence in any environment. Through comprehensive testing, each component has been optimized for its specific purpose in order to ensure longevity and resistance to wear and tear.
Like all products from Markus Form, Buddy features the highest level of craftsmanship and finish, always in the best available materials.
"Products should evoke emotions because they have been designed with emotions. I think this is what makes a product soulful and adorable.
I strive to create an image familiar to that which the audience have in mind, as it creates an emotional connection. I like tables or chairs with legs that convey a strong characteristic and catchy gesture. It is always my intention to create objects displaying a confident gesture with an appropriate impact on the environment.
Another aim is to add to or expand the functional quality of an object by modifying form and shape, using a geometrically clear, simple and pure formal language."
